INTRODUCTION
Here at the High Mount School
Library and Media Center we have a large collection of books and
technology resources for the students and staff. All classes have
scheduled library time once a week in order to check out books, receive
library usage skills as well as receive basic instruction on keyboarding
and computer applications.
Students are welcome to come in to check
out books, read, perform research or do homework during unscheduled
periods.

MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the HMS
Library Media Center to ensure that students and staff are effective users
of ideas & information. This mission is accomplished by:
- Providing intellectual and physical access to a variety of materials
in all formats along with the instruction and use of those materials.
- Providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in
reading, viewing and using information and ideas.
- Designing learning strategies and activities with the faculty that
enhance the curriculum, meet the needs of all the students and live up
to the expectations of the school administration, school district, and
the community as a whole.
